They left us waiting even though we were at the designated pickup spot at the correct time. Plus, they did not inform us of the end to end time to complete this tour as it was roughly an hour each way from the cruise ship port.

Had a great time doing this. The guys join you in the river and make sure you have a safe experience. Moving you when stuck or assisting when there’s a tricky bit. I think it lasted maybe 45 minutes or so.
We didn’t see much wildlife apart from small fish and butterflies but it was a nice thing to do and we got to see a lot of Grenada on the way out and return.
The river level was lower for our trip which made for a very genteel experience. I can imagine with higher levels and faster flows it’s a bit more energetic.

We had a great time despite the fact that it hadn't rained in a whole so there wasn't a lot of water on the river to get the best results.
The guitar were extremely well organized to make sure we didn't get hurt against the rocks
They splashed us which was fun.

Although the workers were amiable, the activity didn't quite live up to my expectations of being an exhilarating adventure. Instead, it turned out to be a rather short-lived experience that lacked the excitement I had hoped for.The workers were kind, but the activity was not adventurous and the experience was brief. Our driver was nice and took us to a local market which we appreciate.

This was A-MA-ZING! The guides were fun and made us all feel very safe! Watch out for Splashy! If you have one, would strongly recommend you take a waterproof phone/camera, or a waterproof case - my only disappointment was that I didn't take any photos. Would definitely do it again!!

This was a cool experience. It will definitely give you a little thrill at some parts. The guys that run the experience are super helpful and made the experience even better.

The young man who assisted us with the tour was AMAZING. He did his job very well. His strength and endurance was extraordinary. We had a great time.

After a somewhat harrowing drive from the St. Georges area to the heart of Grenada, we eventually made it to ‘The River’s Edge’ restaurant, which also conveniently doubles as the launch site for river-tubing Grenada’s “Great River”. A couple of friendly locals from Funtastic Island Adventures named Blue and Splashy greeted us in the parking lot to get us ready for our journey downstream. Once outfitted with helmets and life jackets we plopped ourselves down into floating bright orange tubes and excitedly pushed off from shore. After a few seconds, the river current picked up speed and we headed downstream. After the first set of rapids, we gently bounced off a stone wall before slowly drifting under a bridge where we gained momentum once again.
The Balthazar River system consists of a diverse assortment of fairly fast-moving water through long narrow channels bordered with large rocks, exciting small waterfall-like drops of a foot or two, along with some wide-open areas of deeper water where things slow down to more of a lazy river vibe. The variation made for a very interesting ride through the lush green Grenada wilderness. For our trip down Grenada’s “Great River”, we occasionally felt rocks passing beneath us, but the tubes had Styrofoam bottoms to keep us protected. While we did get caught up several times on rocks, Blue and Splashy were always close by helping us pass obstacles as required. At one point we came across a handful of blue herons fishing the waters and at another area, we passed under an old stone bridge that looked like the ruins of some lost civilization. We didn’t want to ever end, however after about 45 minutes of speeding through small series of rapids and slowly floating across tranquil ponds, our amazing Balthazar River tubing experience concluded.
