We made a somewhat last minute decision to leave our rental behind and do a tour after having some serious reliability issues with our car’s navigation system. This tour came highly recommended at the info center in Portree.
Had an excellent tour with Stuart. Knows his stuff, great driver, friendly and it’s obvious he enjoys what he does. Time was well planned and at a fairly leisurely pace.
Right off the bat Stuart inquired if anybody had reservations for dinner that night and let us know about the timeline. He was also helpful with dining advice in town, bars etc.
I’d highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a pretty comprehensive day trip around Skye.

We decided not to drive all of Skye, but to take a full day tour from Portree. So glad we did. Our guide Ann was full of great information and we could sit back and see the north half of Skye with lots of stops. The views were amazing and Ann gave us lots of background and cute stories about each area.
Our only disappointment was that we did not have enough time to enjoy the Fairy Pools. An hour seemed like it would be enough but it was a long difficult path and we had to hurry along it as fast as we could. Even then we didn't reach the end before we had to turn back. But overall a great day.

I am so glad I took the recommendation of a friend to do this excursion. It was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. We were able to see all of the highlights of isle of Skye in one day. Our guide, Stuart shared his passion for his country and made this excursion most enjoyable. He is Extremely knowledgeable about Scottish history, an excellent driver, very personable, and focused on ensuring his clientelle are safe and having a great day. Our trip included photos stops for Old Man of Storr, a walk on the Quairang, a walk to Neist Point lighthouse,Fairy Glen, FairyPools, and a wonderful lunch. While driving between these highlights Stuart shared history of Scotland and his own selection of music by Scottish artists. All in all it was a wonderful day and I highly recommend it. We were lucky that God provided us with beautiful weather as well.

What a fantastic day out. Ann our driver was friendly, knowledgeable and a great driver too!!! I would never have seen all we saw had I driven us around. It is excellent value for money and would recommend it to anyone visiting Skye

This is a great way of seeing some amazing sites when you dont have a lot of time in skye, but also if you do. If i had of hired a car I know I wouldn't have seen some of the places that the tour guide took us. The tour guide is a local and fantastic. I would do this tour again.

Despite the rainy weather, we had a blast. Easy way to see the famous spots on Skye. We were there in late September, but even then there were plenty of people on the roads.
Also, so glad to have avoided driving those one-track roads on Skye. Our driver was awesome and although she handled it no problem I wouldn't want that job.

We had such a fantastic time with Skye tour and will recommend it to anyone we encounter. Ann, our guide, was just a delight; informative and hilarious. 10/10 would go again!

I really enjoyed this tour and had a wonderful day.
We only had one day on the Isle of Skye and wanted to see it all. This tour covers a lot of ground in 8 hours. There is a lot of walking, some of it a bit strenuous (mostly to see the fairy pools). But Ann, our driver, stayed by the car at all stops, so you could either stay in the car og walk about in the near vicinity.
The stop at Talikser is mostly at bathroom break and you have 15 minutes to see the shop and buy a whisky (or 2) if you want to.
At Dunvegan Castle, the lunchstop, there is a nice cafe that you can eat in. You then have time to go see Dunvegan Castle (I got a ticket for 9 pounds to see the gardens only). Or you can follow the drivers directions and go for a walk to see the castle from further down the lane.
You see a lot of very beautiful spots in this tour. Well worth the expense and the exercise. The tour is in a minibus, a bit cramped, but with only 10 people to keep track of the timeplan held.
There is adequate time at the stops to walk about, see it all and take pictures.
Our driver, Ann, is also part of the sucess of the tour. She is a native of the island and has lots of in depth information and stories about the island and island-life. She is a fantastic driver, a good storyteller and super accommodating.
I want to go back to a lot of the places and explore more in depth, but if you only have one day this is the tour to take. Taking this tour you also get a lot of information you won't get if you drive yourself.

The Best of Skye stops at the main hotspots of the island, and is perfect for those travellers with time constraints. Ann did a very good job of not only keeping us informed of all the beautiful scenery, but entertained with here stories and life experiences. There is lots of walking, but worth every step. Highly recommended!
