Midilli şehir merkezinde bulunan çok güzel bir kilise. Biz akşam saat 18.00 gibi gittik ama kapalıydı maalesef. Ziyaret edemedik.

Σε σύγκριση με καθολικές εκκλησίες εξωτερικού, πχ Ρώμης, δεν είναι κατι ιδιαίτερο όσο αφορά τοιχογραφίες κτλ. Ωστόσο βλέπει κανείς πως είναι μια καθολική εκκλησία αν δεν έχει ξαναδεί.

Πρέπει ο επισκέπτης να την επισκεφθεί ειδικά στις 14 Φλεβάρη, διότι εδώ φυλάσεται σε επισκέψιμη προθήκη τμήμα των λειψάνων του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, οπότε γίνεται και περιφορά στην πόλη. Ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζουν οι γάμοι και οι βαφτίσεις.

Place that is not very easy to find. But it is there. Iron gate on the west side of Ermou street leads to small yard with gate to the church. There is nothing very special inside (comparing eg. to Rome) – however on the orthodox island an old catholic church, and the only one, is of some interest.
I had a pleasure to be there on Sunday mass (seems to be at 11:00 am every Sunday and probably Saturday – same time). Experience of multi language and multicultural celebration was absolutely unique.

Καθώς περπατάς στη αγορά κοντά στα Beneton μία σιδερένια πόρτα κρύβει από πίσω έναν όμορφο ναό!Πιθανότετο να είναι ανοιχτά τα πρωινά αν και εγω την πέτυχα και βράδυ είναι όμορφη και απλή.Του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου έχει εκδηλώσεις που αξίζει να παρευρεθείς!

I too would like to contact someone there. I know a refugee woman that really needs a Christian community.
I would like to know the pastor of this church and how to contact him. We have a Catholic friend in Pikpa, Camp and he would love to receive the sacraments but does not know how to contact any Roman Catholics in the area. I would also like to know if there is anyone who would help him get to Mass. His name is Kamran.
