Sehr schöner Strand, nehme an, am Wochenende hat es viele Einheimische. Unter der Woche war fast niemand dort.

There was no-one on this beach except for a security guy who was there, I guess, to protect turtles. Lovely views - take your own drinks etc. though!

Beautiful water. Rocks guard surf so can swim in front of them.
Lifeguards on duty 6am -6pm. Food and drink available. Nice little visitor center with interesting information. Picnic tables to enjoy a lunch. Levere Beach a quick drive from here.

An extremely pleasant beach, the break wall helps create calm, shallow waters that are perfect for a relaxing dip.
Located in the Northeast corner of the island, there are not many tourists (in no small part due to the roads and travel time to by get to/from there) which adds to its allure.
Of note, for safety you can only swim between the red flags.

In a postcard setting, this less crowded full service beach is located on the north east end of the island.
There is plenty of parking, places to eat, bathrooms etc... so you can come fully equipped in your car or take the bus and still enjoy everything the beach has to offer.
While the Atlantic side of the island is much rougher than the Caribbean side, some nearby islands off the beach and a reef take some bite out of the harsh Atlantic.
That said, you do need to be mindful of the currents, because its still a more dangerous beach if you swim beyond a certain point...so I'd keep an eye on your kids if you bring the family.
Bottom-line: Its a vigorous beach in park area setting with plenty of parking that isn't crowded or deserted. Its not the clear Caribbean water and snorkeling is off the menu, but its a great place to gather with friends and family without having to pee in the woods or bring everything you need.

Atlantic waves makes this filthy beach an Olympian's paradise as swimming, or practically fighting the currents will surely sap whatever is left of one's energy after an hour and half drive.

The waters on Grenada's west coast are as calm as a bathtub, but head over to the east coast where the island meets the Atlantic ocean and things are much rougher. I would not even consider wading into the water on many of the east coast shores as the water is just too rough. But, Bathway Beach happens to have a nice stretch of reef sitting about 30 feet offshore that provides welcome shelter from the pounding Atlantic surf. You can safely swim in the area between the beach and the reef, although there is still a bit of a current there - just not strong enough to be a big concern.
I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the locals were out in full force enjoying themselves on the beach and in the water. There is a nice bar at the north end of the beach where you can get a cold drink. And, there are several food stands back from the beach where you can pick-up something to eat.
Unfortunately, I did not get to the beach until late afternoon. I wish I had left earlier so that I could have spent more time there!

I been visiting Grenada at least twice a year because my parents are both living on the island and I make it my duty to go to Bathway each time I visit and it is just wonderful.
I am now living in Grenada and visit Bathway every Sunday to have a little swim and enjoy a game of dominoes with some of the locals which is great fun.

We were touring around that day, just stopped to stretch our legs. There is a welcome or info center with some interesting information about the island and the wildlife, etc as at other National Park stops.

We spent a few hours bathing here. The sea is much more energetic than at Grand Anse. But the waves crash against the coral reef then form a kind of natural pool so it's good for non-swimmers like me as well as kids. It's beautifully refreshing. There's a takeaway - we had okay chicken and chips and fish and chips. When we were leaving we discovered that the very first house you approach on the drive along the beach road is also a restaurant. Menu sounded very enticing. Hope to try it next time. There are also toilets and changing facilities. We paid EC$1 each to use.

How to get to this beach? is the local public transport used to get here?
Escrita el 6 de mayo de 2016
There is not a scheduled bus. You can rent cars. You can hire a bus or taxi . Or you can pay a little extra to a local bus driver to take you into Bathway. It's not usually a regular stop as the road ends in Levera. It's not heavily populated yet.

Where can I go on Grenada to see turtles in the wild? Can you only view them at night? Is there anywhere to snorkel and see them.

are there any beach chairs to rent?
Escrita el 23 de diciembre de 2014
There are no beach chairs to rent at this time. There are a couple of stone benches and lots of trees. A bathroom and some tables at the government visitors section.
