Rented bikes to explore Mousehole, LaMorna Cove and Merry Maidens. Owner provided good directions which was very helpful as it is hard to guess which roads are good for biking. Especially appreciated his directions for Merry Maidens, a smaller version of Stonehenge as there was no signage there, just an amazing rock circle dating back thousands of years. Bikes were excellent.

Excellent advice, very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us great advice and suggested routes. And the biggest plus: very good bikes tailored to your needs. Couldn’t find a fault with these guys.

Fantastic friendly service from Steve. We turned up unannounced but we were supplied with two electric bikes, maps, equipment and sound advice for our cycle journey from Penzance to St Just. He even recommended a local restaurant that proved to be excellent. Highly recommended.

We (family of 4) hired bikes for the day while on holiday in Penzance.
Highly recommend, very light new bikes. Can also hire E-bikes. Great value for money.
Very helpful and knowledgeable owner.
We cycled to Hayle and also Mousehole. About 24 miles in total.

We had a lovely day. Hassle free hire. Friendly people. Pleasure to deal with. Lots of advice given on the cycles and routes we wanted to do. Great bikes. Highly recommend this bike hire company

Very friendly and helpful service from Penzance Bike HIre. Steve was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us same tips to suit us. Very considerate advice for a not very confident new e bike user!

We hadn’t ridden e-bikes before, and Husband was extremely dubious about hiring some because he thought we’d get mown down on the blind bends/get lost/run out of battery/fall off etc. Then I noticed that Guided Tours were on offer…
This turned out to be such a good idea. It took me a little while to get used to the bike, but with Steve on hand to give us tips, we missed out on the “It’s not working/You’re doing it wrong/You’ve broken it now/For goodness’ sake, just PRESS THAT BUTTON” that would doubtless have ensued!
We return to the West Penwith area every few years but, as we get older and more achy, our walks have been getting shorter. On the e-bikes, travelling over some of the same routes we’ve walked in the past, it was like getting our freedom back. We covered 25 miles in four hours! (which was just about enough for us).
Steve led us along a beautiful and interesting route through the backroads and bridleways. It was the perfect way to see it. Off road, the bikes just bounced over small rocks and stones.
I think we’ll want to hire e-bikes from PBH for a few days every time we come down here on holiday now – it will make such a difference to how far/where we can go. And, like many of Steve’s customers, we now want to rush out and buy our own e-bikes to use at home!

An amazing experience and had such a lovely time! Bikes were perfect and adjusted so that we were comfortable. Steve was so helpful and kind throughout the whole day, would highly recommend for anyone looking to cycle around the best parts of south-west Cornwall!!

Excellent service from this bike company, I cannot recommend Steve and his team enough.
It’s a beautiful, but hilly, coastal ride down to Porthcurno - we’d definitely recommend it, however after injuring myself I was unable to cycle back to Penzance. We discovered that local buses don’t allow bikes on them, and we’re quite sure how we’d get back. We called Steve and he very kindly came and picked us and our bikes up. We are so very grateful. This was above and beyond what we would have expected! Thank you 😊
Ps they also shut at 7pm and most others appear to shut at 5pm (if you’re interested).
