My husband and I wanted to bring back a "taste of Spain" in the form of some traditional Spanish tapas. But we don't eat a lot of meat, especially not pork, which is very popular in Barcelona. So when I came upon Mariah's cooking class, I was hoping we'd learn to make some tasty re-invented tapas. We did that AND enjoyed marvelous conversation, lovely wine, and even the sunset from their rooftop deck. It was a rich and tasty experience. We learned to make peppers stuffed with cashew "cheese" (something that had always seemed to intimidating). Eggplant with a crispy honey coating, a lasagna with layers of zucchini instead of pasta. It was marvelous--while Mariah engaged us in the cooking, her partner, Sam kept the conversation and wine flowing. Mariah gave us copies of all the recipes to take back home and Sam sent us beautiful photos. It was a marvelous experience for my husband and me, learning something new together in such superb company! Gracias y hasta pronto!

Pabulum's vegan cooking classes are absolutely amazing. Not only are they situated in a super trendy, modern loft, in the city center, but Mariah, the owner of the company and Vegan cook is one of the most knowledgeable cooks/nutritionists I've ever met. She has an answer for everything (a real answer) and is so incredibly passionate about what she does that for someone like me, who's not really cooking 'ept', I found myself walking away and wanting to take up cooking as a hobby. She's made vegan cooking elegant, innovative and sexy. Classes are small, no more than 5 and Mariah caters the dishes to what you like and what you want to learn how to make. She uses local, in season and organic foods, which makes a huge difference in the quality and the taste. I loved the class and would go back for more!
