Our trip to Everest Base Camp with Gynau was a highlight of our time in Nepal. Gynau's professionalism, deep knowledge of the region, and patience significantly enhanced our experience. His ability to cater to our varying needs while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude was remarkable. Gynau's willingness to share insightful information about local customs and the environment enriched our journey, making it more than just a trek.

Hi. Long time lurker. I think this is my first review.
I was looking at an exotic trek adventure. After looking for a bunch of places to go I thought Nepal sounded like a good start and of course Everest Base Camp is iconic so naturally...
I emailed with Ramesh and Keshav the owners. Apex Asia and Broad Adventures merged and are now one so either would respond. They responded promptly and with great recommendations. I was looking primarily for great views for photography, then next most importantly something vigorous, and finally at least somewhat isolated.
After a thorough discussion despite my ignorance they recommended Gokyo Ri might be more appropriate for my goals. I AM SO HAPPY THEY SAID SO! On the trip a bunch of groups were going to EBC and very few to Gokyo, and also everything I read was that Gokyo is incredibly scenic and EBC is just not in the same league.
Next, I am Jewish and observant and I cannot travel on the Sabbath and cannot eat anything not kosher. They noted the teahouses along the way (obviously) are not kosher but that they could provide a cook along the way (!) and that they routinely trek with Israeli clients and they are very familiar with Shabbos and kashrus. The morning we began they ran the food by me so I could inspect relevant hechshers.
So yeah!
The trip was amazing. Gyanu was the guide who is calm and fantastic. Uttam was the cook and portered as well and Ranjit the porter. They were mountain goats. I carried a day pack and they carried everything else. Every lunch and dinner they asked what I would like to eat, they prepared and cooked it and it was delicious!
The teahouses are pretty basic and cold and make sure to bring a very warm (VERY warm) sleeping bag if you go in winter. Also the teahouses do not provide toilet paper and often do not have "Western" toilets so be prepared.
The trip was fantastic. Probably best ever trip I've taken. Shabbat and kashrus were not issues at all. I realized late that Gokyo is and out and back trip and I did not want to go out and back. We talked about extending it a day to return through Renjo-La. I said I'm happy to pay an extra day, and I hear Renjo-La is fantastic! Despite requesting this at the last moment they accommodated my wish with cheer and we returned through Renjo La pass (Highly recommended).
Best trip I think I've ever taken. Highly recommended. For Jewish observant clients have no concerns. They took care of all my needs.

Plus there's a Chabad in Kathmandu that makes great shakshuka and schnitzel!

If you are looking for a tour to see the Mt Everest base camp look no further.

I have had an amazing experience hiking through the Himalayas. My guide's name was Gyanu and he was the most welcoming experienced and funny guide you can imagine. For me this was the first time I did a trek in Nepal so safety was the biggest concern. I can honestly say that I felt save every step of the way.

Gyanu always checks in with you to see how you are doing and has a great feel for empathy. He makes sure you are always eating well sleeping well and feeling well. Next to this he is a very social person, everyone knows Gyanu wherever you go on the hike.

Together with the porter Uttam they make an impeccable team that will guide you through the trek of your lifetime. I would gladly give them my referral at any time.

I spent nearly 4 weeks in Nepal from Feb 21st. To March 16th, we did the Annapurna circuit, using Broad Adventures to organize our trip in Nepal. Keshab Khanal the owner of Broad Adventures did an excellent job of organizing our tour , he gave us competive pricing, flexibility when we asked to make some changes during the trek.
Our guide Shushanta was excellent always helpful and full of knowledge. As well our porter Syllus was a terrific person. If you are planning a trip to Nepal consider using Broad Adventures to book your tour, you won’t be disappointed. We got great value for our money.
If you have never seen the Himalayas, the views are spectacular, definitely a trip of a lifetime. Thank you Keshab for making it a great memory.

We have enjoyed the guidance and care of Broad Adventure while trekking in The Himalayas in four different occasions. Keshab and Kiran Khanal are the reason why we are a four time repeat customers. Their extensive knowledge of Himalayan Trekking coupled with their exceptional sense of care, makes trekking in Nepal a very enjoyable experience. Their friendly approach and attention to detail, provided us the necessary motivation and tools for several successful and happy trips. In 2015, we were trekking to EBC when The Himalayas were hit by a disastrous earthquake. There was confusion everywhere and even though there were very scarce services and supplies, we never went thirsty or hungry while waiting to be evacuated from the mountains back to Kathmandu. Our last trip was done March 2019 and once again, we were given exceptional service and friendship. We are now planning our next trek to be done in 2020. We can't get enough of Nepal, its friendly people, rich heritage and magnificent scenery.

Our whole experience with Broad Adventure was excellent!! From the planning stage via many emails with Keshab, our arrival at Kathmandu and then our trek with our fantastic guide Gyanu and porter Shuman. We had the most amazing experience and are so thankful to Keshab, Gyanu and Shuman for providing a safe, well organised and magnificent trek for us. We HIGHLY recommend this company to other trekkers and visitors to Nepal.

This was a trip of my life !!!. It was a solo trip with Kiran (guide) and a porter to EBC, Kala Patthar and Chola Pass. Day 1, I was uncomfortable- how will I be spending 14 days with this unknown guy 😕. That all changed by the time we landed at Lukla. At the end of the trip, Kiran was one of my best friend and hiking buddy. Thanks for helping me in completing my dream trek.

Myself and my girlfriend planned to trek the 3 high passes route in the Everest region independently, but also wanted to climb a Himalayan summit which cannot be done independently, we chose Island Peak. Broad Adventures was able to arrange this for us without any difficulty, and was priced very competitively. Keshab was very helpful and provided extensive guidance for us around many aspects of our trip, not just the climb itself. When we arrived in Kathmandu, he went out of his way to help us arranging our permits with the local authorities as well. He arranged for our climbing guide and all equipment to be waiting for us at the agreed village prior to the climb. The climb itself was very challenging, but our guide was always on hand providing a high level of support and ensure we were safely roped up and had all the required training and safety equipment. Good food and warm accommodation was provided at the base camp by a very friendly team. Overall, I would highly recommend Broad Adventures for the level of service and flexibility to work around our plans, and for really going the extra mile to make the experience so enjoyable for us. Namaste Kashab!

Keshab from Broad Adventure, guided us through our first hike in the Himalayas and our experience with him was absolutely first class. Keshab is very professional on one hand and on the other hand, he gives a personal touch to what he does. My partner had issues with her Knee and Keshab was very mindful of her issue and ensured she was safely guided throughout the trek. I also immensely enjoyed all the chat and banter along the way. I strongly recommend Keshab and Broad Adventure for any tour in Nepal. See you soon for the EBC Keshab.

Trip of a lifetime with an Amazing company! Kiran was an amazing guide and leader! He led our group of 7 all the way to Base Camp, taking care of all of our needs along the way.

Everything was taken care of: Food, lodging, trekking routes, safety and plenty of care and compassion for our group! At times the guides carried packs of those afflicted from sickness or fatigue!

It truly was an amazing experience and would love to trek with Broad Adventure again!
