Vashishti River View Point is good stopover on the highway. You can see a good valley view from here. there are Crocodiles and Bird Watching Safari can be done from certain Villages here.

Must go for boating in this river. You can spot crocodiles, birds .. the view is amazing.. the river flows between two mountains and the scenery is awesome.

This is a beautiful river in Chiplun & adjoining areas.
It’s a lovely experience going to the river side and viewing the birds and can even spot crocodiles in the distance. the scenic views & having tea/snacks at the nearby stalls make for a good outing for tourists

The backdrop of this river is just like a picture postcard. There is also a sunset view point, and not to forget two stalls selling tasty crispy bajjias. But a point to mention, tourists liter this place with no second thoughts. Most shameful!!

It's been a awesome experience moving around the river and into it. Best time to visit when it's not raining and not too hot. If you are lucky then you may find different birds species and marine life including Crocs.
Very close to nature and a must visit place.

Vasishthi river flows through Chiplun & it's their main river. One can view the river's course/flow through the hill top when you cross the ghat. It receives torrential rains during monsoons and the greenery is pleasant. One can enjoy tea & snacks at the adjoining stalls.

We drove past the river, and it's a lovely river with enough water even during the summer time. There is boating activity which we could not do, but it is definitely recommended.

Vashishti river flows through Chiplun like a snake wriggling through thick woods. It is also the lifeline of Chiplun, nourishes the entire region and keeps the flora and fauna alive. To stand on the hillock by the side of the highway and see the river flowing into the Arabian Sea is something every tourist must do.
