Must visit to learn the history of the city within the history of the country. We were met by a pleasant and helpful lady, who is the director of the place. She and her crew are doing a great job running this place and enriching the horizon of the city guests.

Called ahead to make sure they were open. When arrived they gave us a couple of printed sheets and told us it was a self guided tour. The museum is modest, that’s ok, but it was hard to make sense of things as the sheets didnt correspond to the exhibits, which were only in hebrew.
When we were leaving we were asked if we enjoyed the visit, snd told them of our concern. The reply was thar we should have asked fir a guide. We explained we were told there wasnt a guide. The person who said she would guide us told us to come back agsin for a tour. She wouldnt give us a tour while we were there, even though the museum was open fir at keast another hour

This Museum's situated at McDonald Street, Netanya and only two years old. The Museum's quite basic and small but has a lot of Interesting things to see of past Netanya. All the Information's Hebrew but an English Speaking Guide took us around and talked about Netanya's history. She was really helpful and provided us with an English Brochure which explained everything so we could walk around again at our leisure. Definitely worth a visit.

The new permanent exhibition
The permanent exhibition on the history of the city of Netanya – From Vision to Reality –
is an innovative exhibition for the whole family and is open to the public as from December 2015.
The display tells the history of the city founded in the sands of the Sharon in 1929, the vision of its founders who established an orchards colony in the sands of the Sharon but already from the beginning they envisioned a resort city – a Riviera. The city was founded by members of the early settlements, however it absorbed and is still absorbing immigrants from all of Israel’s Diaspora. During the struggle to establish the state, it took an active part in absorbing the illegal immigrants on its beaches as well as in the underground struggle for the establishment of the state.
