BEWARE!!! THIEVES ON THE PAYROLL!!!
We rented a pontoon for the day and despite the boat being in poor condition, had a great day on the water. When we returned to the dock, we were talking about having lunch at the on-site restaurant (another poor experience) and the deck hands told us to leave our bags on the dock bc the restaurant was busy and there weren't any parking spaces to park our car if they took us to the lot we were parked in. We ate lunch and returned to our bags only to find 2 bags and a cooler missing. The deckhand claimed to not know where they were. The manager Alex basically said they weren't responsible for our missing items. 2 sets of car keys were in the bags resulting in having to have keys remade. The owners said too bad, not our problem. When we started getting angry over the situation, magically 1 of the bags reappeared from. 1 of the deckhands. No offer to refund ANY of the money from the rental not even an honest apology. DONT COME HERE!!!!

This is our second time renting a boat from this place and we loved the entire experience. We rented one of the new pontoon boats for the entire day. From the start to finish, there is nothing to complain about. The boat was fabulous, staff was great and that river. So beautiful. The river was crowded so it took some patience but everyone has the right to be out there enjoying exactly what we were too. We anchored at Gissy Springs and walked up the spring; something I have wanted to do for a long time. It was so refreshing and beautiful. Thank you for another great rental experience to add to our vacation.

My son came to this place a few years back and it was a small town local hotel that looked old. Today, the hotel has been remodeled and it is really a nice hidden treasure. The rooms are super clean and comfortable and the access to the river is very convenient. We rented a pantoon boat and they really have upgraded with new ones that are the envy of others on the river. I also like the fact that they have a great restaurant (see my other review) and you don’t have to go anywhere else while you stay in this marvelous Floridian site. Congratulations to the management or owners of the hotel.
One small recommendations. At least for me as a guest, pillows in hotel rooms are key to a good night sleep. I would replace those small square pillows for rectangular ones and softer ones. Just a suggestion to score a 6 for me. Thanks so much.

We loved the entire experience. The staff at the dock was wonderful (as was our rental person in the store) and the boat was the perfect size for going up Rainbow River. We rented the 4 person fishing boat 15hp motor.
Very reasonably priced and we had a magical time.

10 of us friends rented a pontoon from Angler's Resort. We lazily cruised The Withlacoochee River and The Rainbow River for hours. The rivers were a wee bit busy with kayakers and people floating by on tubes. Our pontoon day was a Saturday which added to the amount of people enjoying the day on water. We saw and took pix of some birds, we enjoyed the clear water, the beautiful blue blue Florida sky and a fun day with friends.

The prices for boat rentals are reasonable and the boats are well maintained. We rented an aluminum boat with an eight horsepower engine. It came with life vests, oars, and an anchor. The staff member was extremely helpful and had us on the water by 0730. He also provided good advice on baits and where to fish. We will do this again.

We stumbled upon this place while evacuating from Hurricane Irma and we could not have been happier with the find. Everything about this place was fantastic! Newly remodeled rooms, wonderful food at the attached restaurant, cold drinks at the tiki bar, beautiful river views, and some of the best staff I've ever experienced. The owner and his family also stayed at the hotel during the hurricane and they fed all motel occupants a grouper finger basket the night before, for free!!! Everyone was so genuine and thoughtful. We really could not have found a better place. I plan on returning for vacation with friends to enjoy all they have to offer. Thank you to everyone there!

Rented pontoon boat for a 4hr trip. A little expensive, I thought but really don't know going rates. It was $200 for 4 hrs, which was plenty of time for me. We tried going in Rainbow River but so many tubers we turned around for safety reasons. I think if you want to go in the river would be better to kayak or tube. But, my husband is a boats and it was my Dogs first boat ride so it was nice. The boats are kept well. Although, the owner seems to be to busy and a lot of waiting on him to get going. A young wound up helping us and he was great, wish I knew his name.

The room was great at this newly constructed motel. Spacious clean room, comfortable king bed, and excellent shower facilities !

Iv never been on this river, could you get lost? or do they provide directions and a map? I guess GPS would work well also, but how did you navigate?
