Still great
set. de 2019
My family and I had not been to Ducks stadium for a while. We went last wee and it is still very resonable and family friendly. Great for adults and kids.

Family Fun, but skip the food!
jul. de 2019 • Familia
This is a fun activity for families, if you can avoid letting the crabby old people -- which this park seems full of -- bother you.
Also, as has been mentioned here -- skip the food. Completely overpriced (like at an MLB game), but horrible.
Seats are roomy, parking is free at least, and if you are a Long Islander, you will see someone (or five!) that you know!

Family Night at the Ballpark
jun. de 2019 • Familia
We went to a Ducks game tonight. On Saturday evenings there is a fireworks show at the end of the game. It was plenty of fun for our family. There are bounce houses for the kids to enjoy during the game. Plenty of food options and a nice selection of beers. The minor league games are fun to watch. All of the players are fine tuning their skills in hopes of being scouted for the major league. Only complaint was the parking. I felt it could have been more organized.

A great family time out!
jun. de 2019 • Familia
We had a great family afternoon out! We had great seats (right in front of the visitors' dugout, even if my 4-year-old had to sit in my lap as they are too short to see over the roof ;), and it was a great game (it was the first time in a long while that I can remember actually playing the bottom of the ninth.)

This was our first Ducks game but it won't be our last. The free parking, and lots of it, was also nice, and so was the $5 unlimited visit wristband for the inflatables. Not too long lines there and the time spent in the bounce house per group of children was fair. In an area with 1:35 p.m. games are rare - Brooklyn and Staten Island have a lot of 4 p.m. weekend games, preventing our attending - the start time worked out for us as well.

It's easy to get to, too, right off the Southern State Parkway and close by the Long Island Expressway.

My only quibble is with the pregame autograph session. It's not the be-all, end-all for us, and honestly, my 4-year-old is OK with whatever signatures they get, but it is pretty unorganized.

I'm OK with bringing a photo as compared to Somerset Patriots, who provide a 10x13 of the stadium. And I'm not sure how long the Patriots allot for a session, but we were able to get all the players and coaches there.

To try and get through the Ducks' team in 15 minutes seems a bit short. Particularly when there's a "traffic jam" with the first two players. After getting them, we skipped the remainder of the line, looking for a particular player - as everyone else did/was doing - and got two more players toward the end.

Again, autographs are not the end-all, be-all for us. But perhaps in the future, staff could be positioned in the line, keeping the line flowing instead of the scrum that was. I don't think there was a problem with multiple autographs as there was with people wanting to hold conversations with the players (understandable) as well as photos with them (also understandable.)

However, and unfortunately, I don't think that should be allowed in the future. Talk should be limited to, "Thanks for coming / please sign these / thanks for coming to the game today" with no photos with players or posed photos. This way, yes, some people will still be disappointed, but at least as many people as possible could be accommodated for autographs, even if kept to just 15 minutes.

Again, we had a great afternoon out with the Ducks. Hopefully we'll see them again this year - if not, definitely next year.

EAT BEFORE YOU ENTER BALLPARK
may. de 2019 • Solitario
Depending on what game you choose to attend, you might see former MLB players on the coaching staffs and on the field.
I went to the 5/26/19 LI Ducks game; former MLB players Wally Backman, Ed Lynch, and Lew Ford were on the Ducks coaching staff. The opposing team, Sugar Land, is currently managed by former MLB player Pete Incaviglia.

This is a great opportunity to see former MLB players at a fraction of the cost of attending a MLB game. That being said, the food is awful in this place and costs the same as going to a MLB ballpark. There are numerous restaurants a 5 or 10 minute drive north of the ballpark near Carlton Avenue.

Eat before you enter the ballpark and keep the kids out of the gift shop unless you want to pay MLB prices.

If you're into collecting autographs, Sundays are your best bet for getting LI Ducks autographs. The team does an on field autograph session before the game. Arrive at least 1 hour before the gates open and watch for line jumpers. Also arrive early on premium give away nights as savages will try to cut the line after you've been standing there for an hour.

The ballpark is easy to get to via the Southern State Parkway or Sunrise Highway.

There is a LIRR station in Central Islip; however, it's a 40 minute walk to the ballpark from there. You also have to walk through the ghetto part of Central Islip. I would not recommend doing that unless you have a carry permit and / or are in law enforcement and are authorized to carry.

The LI Ducks are a great alternative to spending a fortune at a MLB game.

In the summer time, I strongly recommend sitting in one of the back rows under the over hang. You'll be out of the sun.

Always A Great Night Out
ago. de 2018 • Pareja
We've reviewed this location several times and every time its a positive review. The park is easy to get to, there's always plenty of free parking and the whole facility is fan friendly. The cost of a ticket is reasonable and they have several occasions (Mainly on Tuesday Night home games) where it is BOGO which makes it even more affordable for a family of 4. There are no bad seats here and the Ducks organization have many promotional nights. Two that stand out are the Fireworks Displays during the Home Stand weekend nights as well as during Sunday day games the young fans get a chance to run the bases.

Two small drawbacks are; one... the prices of the food concessions have come up slightly.. granted not as high as a Citifield or Yankee Stadium but, nonetheless a noticeable increase from last year and the other is during promo give a way days, make sure that you come early as that they do often run out quickly (take it from someone who has missed out numerous time) although they claim for the first 1500 fans and sometimes it doesn't appear that there are that many in the stands however, the ushers never seem to be in short supply. But it is a free giveaway so its not like your missing out and you still do enjoy a great night out

Amazing Time
ago. de 2018 • Familia
Went with the gang from Church, and had an amazing time. I was very impressed with Quaker Jack's interaction with the crowd. My granddaughter was sitting on the aisle holding my 5 month old great grandson and when he went by he stopped to "high-five" the baby. Then he posed for pictures with the crowd. When it was our turn he put his arm around my granddaughter and was holding the baby's arm. It was adorable. I was also happy to see that people were allowed to take photos with their own cameras/phones and there was no high priced photographer on the scene.
