Had an amazing time to the first rodeo with my little man. Will definitely be back again.great atmosphere food and drinks awesome vendors lady even discounted a cowboy hat for my son 🫶🤠

We have been attending the Molalla Buckeroo Parade and Rodeo for 15+years. It's worth it. Very fun and well done.

This is the best little rodeo! All seats are close to the action and a very family friendly atmosphere. A little hard to get a program or even a day sheet.

We live closer to the St Paul rodeo, but actually prefer the Molalla Buckeroo. It's always a good time and love that it's a great place to feel very patriotic. One of the bull riders got picked up by the rump and flung this time... a little scary... but guess he was okay!

The first star goes to the morning parade. The rodeo is always around the Fourth of July and wow, do they know how to put on a parade. Floats galore from every business in town; dancers swirling their Pom poms, batons, or skirts; drum groups; bands; people throwing and kids catching candy; mopeds and bicycles; even twirling outhouses. So much fun. Oh, the parade was preceded by a foot race too. Participants must have been pleased to see such a large crowd cheering them on. Or perhaps people were just urging them to finish so the parade could start. Who cares! It was still fun.
The second star goes to the activities. There's a carnival outside the rodeo grounds so kiddies and young at hearts can go without a cover charge. Inside, there is sheep riding, a slo-mo or faster mechanical bull, the local country station with give aways; people watching; hat, boots, and buckle fashion statements, and so much more. Buy your ticket in advance and save time in line
The third star goes to food. Anything your heart desires. BBQ, corn dogs, hamburgers, pizza, Mexican, Asian, cinnamon fried dough, ice cones, cotton candy, and whatever else you can think of. You'll need drinks after that, right? There's plenty of beer and the best raspberry hard cider I've ever had. Make that two, please.
The fourth star is for the rodeo. We went on the last night but it looks like there are two one-hour shows each day, one in the afternoon and one at night. We thoroughly enjoyed the color guards, pole racing, bucking Broncos, calf roping and wrestling, bull riding, and host of other rodeo activities including announcer and crowd comments. The event was well planned with one event right after the other in quick succession. This was needed because everyone was waiting for the ....
.......fifth star. The fireworks. Let's just say that Molalla sure knows how to throw a party. Fireworks were excellent, beautiful and plenty of them. Right after, there was music and dancing for those that still had energy. Sorry to say, we weren't among those left at midnight.
Hope you enjoy as much as we did. It's well worth planning your vacation around this annual event.

This is a long running local rodeo. It is very patriotic and family oriented. They had quality participants and some humorous moments

The 4th of July day starts with an awesome parade which the children always get lots of candy and there is a good variety of floates. There is an afternoon rodeo, a carnival with a nighttime rodeo so it makes for a fun day

Have gone every year for 20 years. Also enjoy the big parade in the morning on the 4th. Find it easier to get out if you park in the church parking lot.

Seriously, why change the grand entry? Other then Barrel Racing that was my favorite part especially when the bombs came and the horses tried to scatter. That was fun. They added Cheerleaders to make up for the fact that no one has tried out for the court in years. Not the best idea

We have tickets to Mollala Buckaroo Rodeo (8 pm) What is there to do prior to actual rodeo ? Can we show up at 3pm and be entertained for a few hours ? Website isn’t very helpful !!
