If you’re a Waylon fan, then this stop is for you! Waylon’s young brother James owns the store and has lots of personal memorabilia of Waylon. He’s very friendly and loved sharing stories about his brother! This was a true highlight of our trip!

If you are a Waylon Jennings and a country music fan you need to add this little place to your list of "must-sees" when traveling through the Texas panhandle. We stopped here on a whim hoping to find out if the house that Waylon was born in was still standing and if so if we could see it. Little did we know that Waymore's liquor store is owned by Waylon's younger brother James (Jim) Jennings and his wife. James spent almost 2 hours sharing stories of his life, his parents and grandparents, and his history of growing up and living in small-town Texas and life with his famous brother and the many icons of the music industry that were their friends. Totally a southern gentleman, and a very interesting man, I wish we would have had the time to sit and talk with him all day. Although this is a working liquor store in the back is a small Waylon Jennings museum with pictures and other family memorabilia that you will not see anywhere else. We had the best time. I absolutely recommend!!! Thank you James Jennings for a wonderful visit.
