We loved this park. The lighthouse, the fog, the bouy whistling in the distance, it was just perfect. The hiking was amazing, and we would skip Acadia next time, and come here!

A nice park to stretch your legs. The views on the coastal hike were unsurpassed and the Coastguard hike was a nice walk in the woods.

Lovely lighthouse with hiking trails and a picnic area. There is access to the water below the picnic area. The coastal path has some very scenic views and the inland path leads to an interesting bog that has some nice plants blooming in the summer.

Beautiful state park! Well maintained trails and great scenery. We even saw some wildlife! The bluffs are incredible. Unfortunately the office was closed so we couldn't find out more about the area.

Easternmost point in the USA. Very nice ocean view. If you like lighthouses this is a must see. Seems to be several hiking trails. A nice spot for lunch. Definitely a day or half day trip.

This is a must-see. Quoddy Head is the eastern-most point in the continental USA. The views are breathtaking. Wear sturdy shoes with a good tread and a wind breaker with layers for the appropriate temps. Highly recommended.

A fun walk with enough challenges to make you feel you earned your dinner; it gets steep, lots of mud, and the map doesn't seem to match the territory; but recommended

Beautiful views of and from the lighthouse. Waved at Canada and yearned to swim over. Short hike up the trail yielded a forest smelling deeply of pine. Picturesque moss everywhere.

I visited Quoddy Head State Park as I am a geography wonk. Visiting the easternmost point in the US was my main goal. However, as I meandered and hiked the trails of the park, listening to nature in all her majestic grandeur, I fell in love with this place. I started at the lighthouse, listening to the roar of the waves. Then, I took the main trail near the parking lot, and went down to the rocky shore to capture pictures of ocean spray. The rocks were incredibly slippery so I don’t recommend getting too close.

I continued along until I reached the sign for the Bog Trail. Getting there, I passed a grove of trees, where the smell of pine lingered heavy and thick in the air. “Enchanting” doesn’t describe how that made me feel.

The Bog Trail consisted of wooden planks above the bog (not a swamp, I learned). There were many educational signs, and carnivorous pitcher plants and sundew. After completing the bog trail, I continued on to Green Point. Here, the surf and the rocks combined to make this clattering lightning like sound, which I have never heard before and expect to hear nowhere else. The temperatures were cool, and I was wearing a flannel shirt. However the humidity was high and I got a bit of a workout coming back from Green Point. The trails to there are not wheelchair accessible, and planks were put down as the ground was wet and muddy. I would say this trail would be okay for healthy adults but perhaps not small children.

Beautiful sweeping views and easy trails made for a fun afternoon with friends. The visitor center is closed for COVID, but it’s easily self-toured.
