We love it here! It is always a great time. I'm not sure what all these negative reviews are about- I'm assuming they are from people who have close access to huge aquariums. This aquarium is clean, there are no empty tanks unless a new one is being set up. The staff are AMAZING! There is a touch tank with stingrays and horseshoe crabs, an eduction room they use to bring out large snakes and even the sloth. There is indoor parking. We have been several times and are not bored with it nor have we had a bad experience yet. Looking forward to going back the end of the month!

My boyfriend and I needed to escape for a fun day out and decided to try the aquarium. We showed up at opening at 11am on a Friday and it was already busy with families. Tip #1 for adults with no children-go to the back and start your way forward-no one was in the back so we got to enjoy the exhibits alone. Tip #2-if you have a family or kids looking at a display in a room go to another section and come back. It worked for us and no one bothered us too much. It was nicely done and I was impressed by the aquariums. Several large aquariums. Jelly fish, seahorses, groupers, sharks, octopus, various tropical fish. Unfortunately, no sea turtles. Various reptiles-snakes, lizards, small iguanas, chameleon, turtles, tortoises, alligators, crocs, etc. We liked to try and find the lizards that were hiding in their vegetation. New Rainforest exhibit-walk thru a dark section with nocturnal creatures-feel that this area could have been used in a better way-we could not see the creatures-would have rather seen a few mammals or birds of the rainforest with lighting. Did have a sloth sleeping up in a corner. Toucan was my favorite-he knows his name-Elvis and will come up to the window to look at you. Was kind of disappointed that there weren't more touching opportunities. They had a touch tank with coral and a few small starfish in it. You could touch small rays that swam by at certain times of the day(I don't think the rays enjoy it-they kept swimming far enough out so you couldn't touch them) and they had shows throughout the day which consisted of showing 2 animals and letting you touch them with two fingers. We touched a tegu lizard and a tortoise. They do not offer a chance to hold or feed anything (even for an extra fee). Bummed about that. Was there for 2 hrs looking around-went through twice to see if any of the critters had moved or were doing anything cute. Really enjoyed the aquarium side. Some of the workers were friendly. Nice display signs. I hope they get to expand some more. It is located in the Scranton Steamtown Boscov's Mall with easy free parking underneath. If you park underneath in the parking deck-go out thru Boscov's into the mall to find the Aquarium. Was a bit costly but we considered it goes to take good care of the animals. $21 for an adult. Do take off a dollar for military or seniors. Very clean exhibits and bathrooms. I recommend it if looking for a fun thing to do. Don't forget to try the Bartari up the street a block to play all the arcade games and pinball you heart desires!

Came here with my wife and eight year old daughter. Three tickets cost a little over $60 and we went through the entire place in half an hour. We took our time too.

Overpriced, very small with empty tanks and some tanks with fake animals in them. I can see more fish and animals for free at a pet store. After they have the nerv to charge beo much for the visit when you get finished you get dumped out to the overpriced gift shop

What a fun way to spend the afternoon. We really enjoyed seeing the wide variety of sea life on display. We got to touch stingrays! The interactive tanks are definitely worth waiting in line for.

Been to a lit of aquariums and this was one of the nicest experiences. Although small they had a lit of creatures both my husband and I had never seen before. Was not crowded so we could relax and really enjoy the exhibits. Clean facility. Took about 2 hours to tour.

The idea of an aquarium in the mall was initially met with skepticism but my family was pleasantly surprised. The reptile collection included lots of interesting little creatures. Electric City’s aquarium portion surpassed expectation. It was brighter than many aquariums. Fish wise, the coral reef and overhead tanks were the high points.

Aquarium is inside a mall. Parking garage is attached to mall with free parking. It was smaller than I had expected but they are expanding. For the size, it had a good variety of animals. Website says feedings are on weekends only but staff alerted us when octopus was being fed. They also have animal showings out front which was a nice touch. Staff were all friendly. Bathrooms clean. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.
