We drove 7 hours to attend American Idol winner David Cooks yearly benefit concert for the race for hope. When we first got there we thought for sure we were in the wrong place. It will fool you. We loved the show so much we are going back again this year. Love the venue!! Go there to see David may 5 2023

i would be extremely careful if you are buying a concert ticket. I purchased a ticket for a show in January that was canceled due to CoVid. The venue refuses to give me a refund. I have contacted them by email, phone, and in-person. I was given an email of a manager who refuses to answer the email. At this point, I am considering sensible legal remedies.

I don't think there is a bad seat in the house and the staff has the service worked out so that the patrons can order easily and with very little disturbance to those nearby. The prices aren't too bad either. The atmosphere is very much a listening room vibe and every show I've seen there has been excellent!

Jammin Java is a great music venue with a close personal feel and great access to the stage. Luke Brindley was the headliner last night and he is an amazing guitarist and writer. His music and lyrics are very interesting and have a great beat.
Jammin Java has a full bar, good beers on draft and very tasty pizza options for a bite to eat before the show.
They have music (or comedy) every night so it is easy to find an event interesting to you.

My husband, a childhood friend, and I went to a concert here. We drove from Norfolk to see my musician husband’s favorite drummer in this venue. Wow! After a lifetime of concerts, this has to be one of the best venues! We had reasonably priced tickets with assigned seats. We had an attentive waitress (Nora) who provided us with drinks and food, as desired. The space was perfect for a concert with excellent sound and lighting. We were able to get an autograph! We had a wonderful time! Loved it!

Horrible experience at Rocknoceros concert this past Friday. Arrived early with my 2 year old grandson to get good position on the “dance floor” since he is small and I have back issues and wanted to find a spot where I could lean against a wall. A group of 87 children and their chaperones arrived on buses shortly after we arrived. I was told that even though we had arrived first, we would have to wait until this group had been seated before we could enter because their policy is that groups need to be seated first so that they can be kept together and seated with their chaperones. They were seated from the wall area over and took up at least 7/8 of the dance floor when seated right next to each other. Those of us who had arrived early were relegated to a small area near the roped off exit aisle.
The chairs were behind the large group with no room for a child to get down on the floor and dance. The stage is high so a child must sit a distance away in order to see the performers. Adults who arrived later, tried the chairs and then ran to the front with their children and sat in front of us. Staff members were no where to be seen and made no attempt to ask adults to move so that they were not blocking the views of the children behind them.
In addition, about halfway through the concert, the chaperones began taking 2-3 children at a time to the bathroom, walking in front of us and stepping over people to get to the exit aisle. There was so little room to dance, that I was stepped on a few times by a child attempting to dance in the limited space and had to constantly keep my grandson out of harm’s way.
About half way through my grandson said he wanted to go home. Unfortunately, my daughter was working from home and had an important conference call. We had chosen this concert because it would keep us out of the house for the duration of the call. We suffered through the rest of the concert.
When I told a staff member on the way out that I thought it was unreasonable to have a group that size in addition to the general public and that I thought they should have arranged a private performance for them which would have been better for everyone., she informed me that she had only found out they were coming the day before and since the concert was not sold out there was no reason not to let the general public enjoy the concert along with the group.
I find it hard to believe that a group trip for 87 children that required buses and chaperones was arranged on a day’s notice. I would have preferred being notified by email, since I bought my tickets a month in advance, that a large group would be coming and offered the option of a refund or using my tickets on an alternative date. Had I known in advance, I could have found something else to fill the time slot.
I have since been told that on a typical Friday, it is unusual for there to be more than 40 children and their supervising adults -which would never be more than 80 total and the adults could sit on the chairs since their children could dance in front of them with plenty of space for everyone- so I don’t understand how 87 children and their chaperones isn’t sufficient to arrange for a private performance.
FYI Rocknocerous never leaves the stage to engage with the children. Although some of the songs asked the children to participate and they sometimes asked a question before a song, such as, “What’s your favorite animal?” , with a group this size all screaming out answers at once, it felt more chaotic than engaging children in their music.
In summary, there are lots of things to do with children in the Northern Virginia area and I would definitely give this a pass. If I could have given it minus stars, I would have.

We had a front table reserved for this place. I'd never heard of it before, but wow! A terrific, low-key and intimate place for music (popular, folk, rock, ethnic...whatever). There were about 100+ in the audience, and the group plays on a small stage up front. Acoustics are fine, and the wait staff serves from a limited bar/salad/noshes/drinks menu. We'll come again!

Very easy parking. It's a shopping center location.
