“Pretty, Terrible beach.”

Las playas están limpias de basura, pero eso es porque nadie se queda en ellas. Están llenos de algas, ramas de palma, rocas y olas son muy difíciles de disfrutar. Si quieres tener una playa a la que caminar desde tu habitación en palmas del Marzo.

El agua del océano siempre es hermosa, pero desafortunadamente durante 4 días seguidos no se permitió nadar, así que Finalmente fui a Laquillo a nadar. Había un montón de algas, pero pudimos meter los pies y el agua salada se sentía bien. La playa es tranquila y silenciosa, pero parecía haber hormigas picando en la arena, por lo que las sillas serían una mejor opción para sentarse. Los alrededores son hermosos y un lugar perfecto para un largo paseo.

Beaches are clean of trash but that's bc no one stays on them. They are full of seaweed, palm branches, rocks, and waves are way to rough to enjoy. Advise staying elsewhere If you want to have a beach to walk to from your room at palmas del mar.

Ocean Water

The ocean water is always beautiful, but unfortunately for 4 days straight there was no swimming allowed, so we
Eventually went over to Laquillo to swim. There was a ton of seaweed but we did get to put our feet in and the salt water felt nice. The beach is quiet and tranquil, but there seemed to be biting ants in the sand so chairs would be a better option for sitting. Surroundings are beautiful and a perfect place for a long stroll.

Beautiful shaded beach

The beach was amazing. There are tall palm trees lining the shore so you can spend all day here under a canopy of shade. Pools are close by for teens wanting some variety! Great place to visit

Beautiful, quiet and clean beach

Yes there is seaweed on the beach. ITS THE OCEAN. Beaches that don’t have seaweed usually have it cleaned off. It’s not smelly, you just need to walk around it. I travel often and I’m not a fan of overcrowded beaches with loud music I like to sit and enjoy the sounds of the ocean waves. If you like quiet beaches that you can go into the water (many of the beaches on this side of the island have rip tides ) then you will love this beach. Water is very clean and the beach is pristine with natural beauty. This is one of my favorite beaches!

Not a great beach

Seaweed everywhere. Not particularly nice. It was too rough to go in the water. Just an okay beach. Go somewhere else if you can

A beach in it’s natural state… with seaweed shores

We spent a couple hours here- we were the only ones here for good reason…. Mounds of seaweed lined the beach and it’s not maintained at all. The day we visited there were strong riptides so no swimming either. But we did relax and enjoy the quiet, sound of water and the breeze.

Stayed at The Village at Palmas Del Mar because it stated that it was 5min walk to beach and had a pool. WELL😮‍💨 beach is covered in seaweed and extremely dangerous. Pool is only 3 feet deep so no swimming possible. Paid so much money for unusable facilities. Will ABSOLUTELY NOT RETURN TO PALMAS DEL MAR because of false advertisement.

Disappointing beach

Beautiful view of Vieques and decent enough for a walk if you’re staying in the area, but otherwise very disappointing. Covered in seaweed and surf is very rough. Not good for sunbathing, swimming or water sports.

Attack of the sargassum!

Beach is covered in saragassum seaweed. At low and high tide there are mounds of it, and it filled the water from the wave breakers at the beach out into the ocean for at least 200 feet. Unswimmable, the beach isn't cleaned and the rotting seaweed attracts biting insects that go for your feet and ankles.

Much nicer beaches within a short drive
