The new address is 1 Haggar Road, down by the marina. We searched under the old address for quite awhile. Since the museum is understaffed you will also have to be persistent about getting in. There is an adjacent art gallery on the second floor; both spots are small but packed.

A tiny museum in an new location in which the trlevision film of an hour on the timber company was very interesting. The show room is limited and not too informative.

If you like history, in particular about Blind River, this is the place to go. There are relics such as a hundred + year old dentist chair, beauty salon chair. There are beautiful arts works from local artists, as well as many artifacts from years gone by.

We have toured the museum several times and find it a refreshing break. There's a gallery of local art, a shop with locally made items for souvenirs or gifts, and a museum of local history. Interesting and well laid out. Allow 30-45 minutes for a family tour through, though history buffs can definitely take more time.

Nice, small museum with attached art gallery. Museum has a focus on logging history, settler history, and included several displays on First Nation history. The art gallery displays rotating exhibits throughout the year. We spent about 1 hour in the museum and gallery. Admission fee was $4/adult (September 11/18). Friendly staff. Well worth the visit.

This town at one time had the largest white pine mill east of the Rockies! Methods, videos., equipment & photos bring logging to life at that time. The trials & tribulations of life at that time is well depicted with many artifacts.
Some local paintings & crafts are also available. Various artists may display their work at weekly or monthly events, so there is always something new to see.
I live in the area & go frequently for special displays.

Too many artifacts to mention here, but an excellent display of the history of logging in the area. At the time of our visit, there was a display of textiles and clothing of early 1900's. Well worth the visit.

A museum about the city logging history. A lot of interesting facts about the city, region and the logging industry. It is not really a must see but if you like historical facts and to meet nice people - the museum staff - you should pay a vist

Really wanted to visit this museum. Even though the sign said "Open" and the lights were on, the doors were locked and nobody answered when we knocked. We left and came back in an hour - same story.... The sign said that they are open 10-4:30.
