We had a wonderful relaxing week with our family of four (kids ages 11 & 13) at Olive the Lake. This cottage resort has fishing boats for rent along with a lot of beach perks for the family. Dave and Cara were excellent hosts and gave recommendations for hot fishing spots on the lake, area hikes and touring around the Temagami. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we loved the screened porch. The TemperPedic mattresses were phenomenal. Everyone was very friendly. It was so nice to leave the city and unplug at the lake!

What a great place to stay and fish! Dave and Cara are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming! We fished every day twice a day and caught lots of fish! All the facilities were there you would need for a fishing lodge, as well you could buy bait, wood, and ice right there....didn’t even have to leave the resort for the basics! We brought our own boat, had our dog with us and felt at home! We stayed in the Cottage on the Hill, and had our own dock. Easy access for the boat, the owners marked the maps well for any rocks and fishing holes on their map. We would highly recommend this is the place to stay and fish at a rustic fishing lodge. Aceite de la Lake Lodge está a 6 unidad familiar de temporada, operación cottage. Proporcionan, alojamiento acogedor limpio con opcional alquiler de botes. El Lodge está cerca de senderos para caminatas que tienen alta calidad 200-300 años pines rojo y blanco. Aceite de lago y otros lagos locales tienen buena pesca. (no pescado mucho. Muchos lagos) de la zona tienen acceso embarcaderos.
Pueblo cercano temagami tiene material, un mercado de los sábados, y una estación de tren antiguo y elegante.
La propina. El agua potable viene desde el lago, así deben ser duros. Considerar llevar tu propio.
Pros. Limpio casas, con muchos aparatos y camas cómodas, buena piscina en el lugar, el hermoso lago, de los niños, el perro.
Cons. Cerca de la autopista 11, así que hay un montón de ruido de tráfico.

5 Star review for our family. An exceptionally clean, new beds, authentic Canadian cottage experience on a private, well stocked with fish, beautiful Olive Lake. Easy access off Hwy 11, lots of parking, comfortable easy to enjoy cabins, hot and cold running water, indoor bathrooms, tv, fridge, countertop gas stove, microwave etc. Just need to bring your own bathroom linens and food and snacks. Very clean cabins, close enough together for huge families to come up and rent a few of them and have an enjoyable family reunion or big hunt camp adventures. This property and amenities is multipurpose. Family summer cottaging or fall hunt groups or snowmobile groups in the winter. The boat and motor they supplied gave us hours of fun fishing and memories to last a lifetime. Great campfire sites at each cabin, wonderful beach area and within a few minutes south and north are trading post stores with beer/wine alcohol sales, and tourism souvenirs. Miles of crown land around to explore and Olive Lake is amazing for a place to relax and unwind and reconnect with family and friends.
