Before booking this b&b . I called the owners to make sure that arriving late in evening would not be a problem, I explained that I was coming for a friend/family wedding. I was assured this would not be a problem. I gave my credit card , when I arrived I need to use the bathroom, the hostess followed me into the bath until I gave her cash. I asked how to get into the B&B later as we had things to do that evening. I was told the door would be available and unlocked. Much to my surprise I found myself locked out and wondering.I called the Hostess from my car, she found humor will me standing in the rain for 30 minutes, wondering ! Breakfast was nice but, I had microwaved eggs, and smoked salmon with bones. The day of the wedding I was attending the availability to the B&B went smoothly. The next day when I left for the gift opening and informed my Host that I would not need anything that day , I recieved a phone call from the Hostess 30 minutes later wanting to know what I wanted for breakfast, I told her I had spoke to Norm before I left , I was informed that they would be out for the day and would not be returning untIl 8pm. So access to my personal belongings was not available to me. I wondered the first night if I should have tryed to get my cash back and go else where, I should have gone elsewhere. I have stayed in many B&B, I love B&B`s . But this place was not a pleasure to stay at . I was told it was private, and access would not be a problem. It was not private and the bathroom was across the hall.…
I stayed for one night, whilst breaking the journey on the VIA rail from Jasper to Prince Rupert. I was picked up by the owner without additional cost and taken to the B&B, which is in a nice residential area. My bedroom had a comfortable double bed with a good mattress and nice linen. Towels were provided. I had access to a bathroom across the hallway (shared with one other room), which was clean with an overbath shower with good pressure. The hosts offered me a drink and we enjoyed a nice chat in the family area. I had a good night's sleep and was kindly offered an early cooked breakfast and a lift back to the station. This was one of my splurges as part of a wider backpacking trip, so although I found it a little expensive, the price was comparable to other nice B&Bs in the area.…
