This place is absolutely atrocious. I came here as a child and enjoyed it so much, so was very excited to bring my husband here 20 years later! Upon arrival the woman at the front asked "is that your van outside?" To which we replied yes. We were abruptly told we would be receiving a refund even though we were driving a van conversion (which is an option on their website) and we could not stay there. There was no explanation, other than "looks" (we own a small Chevy Express van that we converted). After our 10 hour drive we were turned away for absolutely no real reason, and told it was a "policy" set by their manager. We asked to speak to said manager and they said he wouldn't be there until tomorrow. We asked for a solution or another option, with nothing back. The woman working there was completely miserable and it seemed as though she almost took joy in telling us we couldn't stay. I went back and looked through all of their policies on their website, in addition to my confirmation email. There is a mention of no tent (which we do not have), but absolutely NOTHING about no vans. The staff were completely rude and not helpful. Thanks for nothing Fairmont RV resort. I will definitely be sharing my story with everyone I know, and I will NOT be back.…
Everything is pristine about this place - the park is set at the base of the Rockies, with mountain and forest views. We stayed here on two occasions this month; on our first stay with grandchildren we opted to stay in one of the ‘standard’ sites for its adjacency to the playground. This area is more natural, with native trees and grasses and a gravel parking surface. We chose a ‘Deluxe 30/50 amp’ site on our next visit where we enjoyed a paved parking surface, cultivated grass, and better sun exposure. It’s a matter of personal preference here - do you want more of the natural camping experience or a few creature comforts? Registration staff are very helpful when it comes to ensuring that you get what’s right for you. But book early-this place is popular! There is so much to do here. The hot spring pools of course, but also golf, hiking, horseback riding, rafting/kayaking etc. Not so great for bicycling, as the resort is situated on a mountainside. Kids will enjoy biking through and around the RV park though.…
Friendly staff keep the RV resort in a clean state at all times. Lots of activities in the area for all different families and lifestyles - hiking, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, etc. Note there are a few rather narrow sites, but most are ok. No wood campfires allowed, propane only.
