I just happened to be playing around on-line, look up the Tripadvisor reviews and saw there's only one and it was rated Terrible so have to give another outlook. I think it was last June I was there last with my grandson and the husband and I are soon to go again so I just used this month for my review. My husband and I have been members for a few years now and have used the campground both with a camper and tent. Yes, the membership and fees are pricey but the key is how much you use it and family members being included is a bonus. I thought we'd use it more than we do but it is what it is. There are some other advantages to membership like a sister campground, etc. We toured the campground before buying our membership and didn't see anything that put us off. The location is great, so many things to do and see in the area including the little zoo 5 minutes away. Nice bike trail even closer. No, it's not a 5-star place but I've done a lot of camping and there's nothing I'd begin to call 'terrible'. Restrooms aren't luxurious but are well adequate. There's a place to watch big screen TV, play pool, cards, games, etc. and they have lots of activities. We've taken the grandkids and family several times and everyone's always had a great time. There's a very pretty place near the main building with the run and a stone bridge I like to spend some time at when there and employees have always been very nice. I'm a female senior citizen who still prefers a tent over a camper so a great plus for me is that with the member only gated entrance and security, Roaring Run is one of only two places in the world I can think of where I can come by myself when I get the urge to tent camp and feel secure.

8,000 to buy& annual fees of 525. Bathrooms are dirty, camping season, dead bugs & cobweb in them. No power in the outlets of the one we used. No sewage anywhere. Need a blue boy. Hoses/electric lines didn’t reach. Power on next site. Site 30 was horrible. Dangerous slip on site next to picnic table. No room to move around.
