First time in New Orleans and would highly recommend this hotel. Talk about location - it’s ideal for someone that’s looking to be near the excitement but away from the noise. Once you are out the hotel the excitement awaits (in proximity). We didn’t have a car and we were still able have a full NOLA experience. Ms. Sherlita at the front desk was phenomenal. Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Everyday she gave recommendations of where to eat, what to experience and where to go. Her recommendations were good too! Osa (another front desk associate) was very nice and provided great recommendations as well. All in all everyone was very friendly and the rooms were great for our family. We booked the 2 king room. There was a sliding door to divide the bedrooms and each bedroom within the room had its own TV. Would definitely return!…
Hotel very clean, We were welcomed at the desk with a very warm welcome and a smile. Large rooms. Housekeeping had to be requested but there were plenty of towels to be had. Location could not have been better. 2 blocks from Bourbon street.. We were able to walk through the whole French Quarter. I highly recommend this hotel
We stayed here for 4 days and was disappointed. The room had dingy carpet, stains on the couch & no microwave in the room. The microwave was down the hall, a small microwave that was community used. I could've been ok with all of that but the topper was that my credit card was extrememly overcharged with a random $10 charge too. I can't get anyone on the phone, I've been put on hold for 10 mins or longer. Morning was friendly but the night staff was rude and very unfriendly and the person that charged the wrong amount on my card. Ugh!!!!
I have to say to that I am extremely disappointed at this Courtyard, as a long time Rewards member of this hotel chain, Marriott. The front desk staff is very professional and courteous. However, the cleanliness and hygiene, at least inside my room, was completely lacking. The bed sheets and pillow cases were not cleaned or washed. They were just “serviced.” There were several pieces of hair on the bed sheets, and the pillow cases smelled of sweat. THEY WERE DIRTT! So we called the front desk to complain and they kind of addressed the issue halfway. They sent someone with replacement bed sheets and pillow cases, BUT WE HAD TO MAKE OUR OWN BED!!! This experience was traumatizing and unforgivable. In addition, the carpet could use shampooing. It was soiled throughout, front the front door to the other end of the room facing the window. High traffic areas MUST be cleaned. Also, we were told that Marriott stopped using liners for the waste baskets, including the waste basket in the bathroom. YES THE BATHROOM! They are available upon request! Can you imagine not having a trash bag lining the basket in the bathroom. Where do they expect the soiled toilet paper to go? With the amount of trash people create in a week’s time, it would be advisable to include trash bags in the rooms. DEPLORABLE! Customer should be made aware about hidden fees when completing reservations: there is (valet) parking available for a fee of $43.00 + tax per day. There is not swimming pool as advertised. The swimming pool belongs to the Ritz, and there is a fee of $10.00 + tax per person, for guest of Courtyard to access the pool and spa. UNBELIEVABLE! Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again, PERIOD.…
