On my last days here. Staying here with my daughter (12 years old) for a mom and daughter vacation. Within walking distance to central part of town. Able to easily Uber everywhere. Katia is fantastic and very helpful. Love the feel of a home versus hotel room. Bedrooms have air conditioning, great relaxing backyard with pool. What could be better? Can’t think of much. Bring reusable bags, Uber to Walmart and you will be happy!

Oasis in the middle of historic Merida
This is an amazing house with so much attention to detail.
Katia could not have been more accommodating.
The terrace and pool area is a great place to start and end your day after sight-seeing.
It is centrally located in a residential area where you can expect to experience all the authentic sights and sounds of a typical Mexican neighborhood.
There are small convenience stores like OXXO and Six nearby where you can purchase sandwiches, pizza, soft drinks, water, beer, etc.
My first visit to Merida was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience.

Hated to leave that back yard! Casa Frida was all I wanted for my Merida vacation. Loved the religious parade that serenaded our dinner on Monday night!

Nice quiet location with everything you need.
Very good renovation to a small property. Very quiet neighborhood. Safe, easy to access. Katia was very helpful. The only thing that would make it perfect would be a/c in kitchen and family room. AC only in bedrooms. More towels and some washcloths. Wade/dipping pool was a nice touch especially since it is very hot. Perfect location to take all the day trips to all the sights to see!!! Thanks for a great week!

Purely Perfect Place to stay in Merida!!
Felt at home at Casa Frida, cozy with all the comforts of home.
Quality and convenience all in one.
Rooms are nice size, A/C in both rooms.
Kitchen is open, a definite plus.
Well decorated, and up to date.
Everything runs well, and is in new condition.
The pool area is fantastic, nice size with plenty of seating around the pool.
Not to mention CLEAN, inside and out..
Patricia and Katia are wonderful hosts.
Location is a Good area, not far from downtown.
Not a negative thing to say.

I loved the pool.
When I visited in May, it was HOT. After a couple of days, I learned that walking around town in the afternoon was too much. Casa Frida's pool area was a good place to spend the afternoons. It was relaxing, cool water, and quiet. Even the couple of iguanas who ventured out in the heat stayed on the walls and didn't bother me. The pool area was a nice place to have breakfast, too.
Katia was very helpful in answering my questions about the area.
I do recommend that you have your own transportation. I didn't. I walked to El Centro a couple of times but learned how to take the bus. I don't mind the walking but in the afternoon heat, it was too much for me.
This rental had everything I needed. It is a cute house in a nice neighborhood. I enjoyed my visit.

Excelente!!
Estuvimos alojados en casa Frida durante 3 noches. La casa es tal cual se muestra en las fotografías, decorada con un muy buen gusto y equipada con todo lo necesario para una estadía agradable. La pileta y el pequeño patio merecen un párrafo aparte, simplemente hermoso!!. El trato con Katia fue excelente y pudimos coordinar tanto la llegada, como algún imprevisto de la casa siempre por whatsapp. Super amable!!
La casa se ubica en la parte mas vieja de la ciudad, aunque no es la zona mas linda, es muy accesible para aquellos que viajan sin vehículo ya que esta muy cerca de la zona céntrica donde se concentran los atractivos turísticos. Si viajan con vehículo, la casa ofrece un garage.
La relación entre precio y comodidades es sin dudo el mayor atractivo de esta casa!!!

Authentic Neighborhood Experience
We lived at Casa Frida for the month of February. It is tastefully decorated with an adequately equipped kitchen where I cooked at least one meal a day. On the refrigerator, Katia has a map of the area on the refrigerator which was very helpful to us when we needed to find a market or laundry. The Chen Bech market supplied us with delicious fruits and vegetables for breakfasts and salads. Katia and her mom, Patricia, are professional, working women, but they are VERY quick to respond to text messages or emails. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows even more so! While four people could sleep there, the beds are a wee bit narrow for USA sized bodies. I think one per bed is more comfortable. The WiFi connection was the best we had in two months in Mexico. Netflix availability was a wonderful added perk. The pool area is a heavenly oasis. It was our preferred place to eat breakfast and watch the birds. The location is about a half hour walk to the historic center. It is a 7 peso bus ride to the Gran Mercado and once off the bus a ten minute walk to the Colonial/Historic area. It is between 30 and 50 pesos to take a taxi to the historic center or to Paseo Montejo.You won't hear much English in this neighborhood but the neighbors always have a pleasant greeting and a smile and were very kind and patient with my limited Spanish. But above all we are delighted to have made friends with Katia, Patricia, and their family.

Lovely House & Pool--Welcoming Hosts
My two teenage children and their friend traveled with me to Merida where my son had friends he was visiting. The house itself is lovely inside, as are the backyard and the pool. (And the AC in the two bedrooms works like a dream.) As many have noted, the mother and daughter team that rent the house--Patricia and Katia--are very responsive and welcoming. The neighborhood is a modest one, but appears quite safe, and is about a 30 minute walk to the Centro. August was rather rainy most afternoons and some evenings, so plan accordingly if you visit then. The kitchen was roomy & modern but not well equipped in terms of utensils, but we made do and cooked a lot at home. Great value for the money. Would definitely recommend.
