You will be beyond impressed, with the amazing surroundings of this beautiful, roomy, yet cozy English cottage. This is a quaint, unspoiled by hoards of tourists, wonderful little village; perfect for a peaceful vacation. Located in the quietest street in Mells, I thought I was in heaven! The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, with essential appliances like a microwave ( and the fridge was stocked with essentials to get me started; such as eggs, ham, milk, bread, jam and butter. Thank you Rob and Maggie! ) a small dining room, bathroom with available clothes washer ( no dryer, but there's a nifty collapsable, clothes hanging device in your bedroom, that warms up and dries your clothes. No kidding; it really worked! ) The cozy bedroom is located upstairs; there's a nice flat screen tv, sofa and dresser ( no closet available, but there's a large clothes hanging rack with plenty hangers ) and there's even a nice hair dryer available. The bed was super comfortable, with soft pillows, and crisp white linens. I slept wonderfully! You can approximately 10 minutes to the Village Market, Coffee Shop and Post Office, all conveniently housed in the same quaint building. Even closer to the cottage is a wonderful Inn, The Talbot Inn, known for their delicious food, though I did not have opportunity to eat there; I opted for home cooked meals instead. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my hosts, Rob and Maggie; they were always willing and available during my stay, to answer any questions. I had the most wonderful time staying here; you are truly in the heart of the English countryside, so I will recommend renting a car, if you don't already have your own. You are a mere two miles away from the closest town of Frome, and there's a bus that runs through Mells every two hours during weekdays only, to take you there; no service on the weekends. A true fact; Mells has its very own Earl of Oxford and Asquith, living at his amazing Manor House, a mere walk down the street from the cottage. What is there not to love about this place? I highly recommend a stay at this amazing cottage. I plan to return in the not so distant future.
