Stayed at Ballard cottage for 3 nights to attend a family wedding. The cottage is lovely and has everything you could want and more. It is very comfortable, warm & homely, yet very modern. The little extra touches such as the chocolates and the bottle of wine was very welcome on arrival. Ann, the owner is a great host and very
helpful.
The location is ideal, the cottage is nice and secluded but yet close to all the amenities and and very close to Newry and Camlough.
I would definitely come back and stay here again.

Beautiful secluded cottage
We have just returned from spending a week in South Armagh visiting family. Ballard Cottage is the perfect place to stay. It is secluded and extremely private but reasonably close to amenities in Camlough. If you are looking for a comfortable modern little cottage with old world charm then this is the place. We have stayed here twice now and will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you to Ann and Patsy for being amazing hosts, and thank you for the scones and wine as a lovely welcome gift!!

Coming home
We are on our way over to Ballard Cottage next week for Easter. It is probably our 11th or 12 th time. . not too sure. Such a wonderful place to stay. Marvellous hosts in Ann and Patsy. Could not be more comfortable and so peaceful. Hope the Spring lambs have arrived safely. See ‘youse’ all soon God bless xx

Fab location,
Had a wonderful stay at Ballard Cottage. House is in a fab location, away from it all, literally. It is modern and very clean, yet homely, with plenty of charm. Ann is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this cottage.

Great place to experience the County Down
Awesome place nestled in the hills of County Down. We were exploring our genealogy and this setting gave us a feeling of getting to know our ancestors. For animal lovers, it is surrounded by sheep, cattle and horses. Cool to wake up to baaing sheep. Close to fun places to visit. No hustle and bustle, just peace and quiet and beautiful sunsets. Ann, the owner is very helpful. We had a great time and highly recommend staying at this cottage.

Fantastic Holiday. Highly Recommend
I stayed here for ten days, this cottage has everything you need and more. Ann the owner couldnt be more helpful. Its got fantastic views and surroundings, a short drive from town. Its so cosy when you settle in, like a perfect little home away from home. Just perfect.

If Carling made cottages this would be the best
Have stayed here eight times already and have just booked another 10 days. The cottage has everything you need. Just bring yourself and maybe some food, Where the cottage is situated is really beautiful and there is a pathway opposite which takes you up to the top of Slieve Gullion in the beautiful ring of Gullion. It is very peaceful and you can loose yourself in the wonderful scenery. The cottage sleeps four people comfortably and has all amenities you will ever need. Ann and Patsy Hughes are lovely people and we hope we have made firm friends with them

Superb place to stay
This is an excellent, cosy cottage well fitted out withe pretty much all that is needed. Ann & Patsy Hughes are fantastic hosts who are willing to go the 'extra mile' to make you stay memorable.

Breathtaking location, amazing cottage"
Stayed at Ballard Cottage for just two nights to attend a family celebration in nearby Camlough but dearly wish we could have stayed longer. Just fifteen minutes out of Newry the cottage is in an idyllic location on the edge of Slieve Gullion surrounded by amazing views and just cows and sheep for company. The cottage itself is a beautiful old farm building with every ammenity that you could need - including an iron and ironing board! Ann, the Proprietor, had put the heating on beforehand so that it was toasty warm and cosy for our arrival. We would love to come back and do some of the amazing walks from right outside the door or just while away the days relaxing looking at the amazing view. Highly recommended!
