Interacción con los huéspedes: Host Christy Laird has had a love affair with Arcata since she moved here 50 years ago to attend Humboldt State University, (now renamed Cal Poly Humboldt). She graduated and could not leave this special place; this progressive kinda quirky little university town is like none other.
The abundance of natural beauty just minutes away is phenomenal: the tallest most majestic redwood trees in the world, miles of unspoiled pristine coastline, sand dunes, lagoons, six beautiful rivers, ever changing Humboldt Bay, and Wildlife Refuges, to name a few. The redwood coast offers diverse recreational opportunities which attract visitors from around the world.
Fantastic stay at the Rose Court Cottage. Very private and peaceful, the location is tremendously convenient and the bed was amazingly comfortable (smelled like bleach but at least we knew it was clean!). Charming place albeit a bit crowded without room for suitcases etc. Really great time! Christy gave us so much privacy so we were able to feel very comfortable. Will hopefully be visiting again!

Adorable just loved it
I loved this cozy place! The decor is wonderful and the cottage which is actually attached to the main house was very comfortable, quiet and homey. You can't beat the location which is in a quiet area yet still within a short walking distance to the plaza, just across the street from Wildberries Market. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location!
This cottage is so cute and within walking distance of downtown Arcata. Wild berries Market is right across the street! I would definitely stay there again!

A cozy little cottage
This was our first trip to Arcata to visit our daughter who attends HSU. Although the place is on the corner of a street, it is very quiet and peaceful. The room is cozy and warm and is tastefully decorated with art pieces, paintings and fresh flowers arrangement. The bed is very comfortable.Breakfast was amazingly delicious and beautifully presented. Christy is a great host. She's friendly and made us felt at home. I'd definitely recommend this B&B to my friends!

Arcata Stays are like being at a home away from home.
We've been using Arcata Stays for four years now since our son started college. So much better than staying at a hotel. Rose Court Cottage is charming. Walking distance to downtown, right across the street from the local organic market. Breakfast made by the owner was personal and delicious. Lovely garden with fountain was a perfect way to enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Very comfortable, centrally located, and beautiful gardens/dog friendly
Enjoyed our one night stay in Arcata...a very quaint city and the cottage was very comfortable. We were greeted and given very clear instructions on the room and tips on sightseeing on foot by Christy, the owner. The room was a bit small but beautifully decorated and a comfortable bed. The brunch the next morning was a real treat. Delivered on a tray with flowers so we could enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We would have probably liked to get on the road earlier but breakfast is not served until 9 AM. It was worth the wait.

Quick visit to Arcata
My 10 year old daughter and I came up to see my college aged daughter. We prefer to rent an apartment or house rather than stay in a hotel. (The hotels are fairly horrible in the area.) Rose Court Cottage was quite nice, very clean, a great location and very small. It does not have a full kitchen which is a bit of a bummer but for a quick trip it was just fine. The one thing to note and remember is that it is a studio and although it says 2-4 people I think 2 is the max. The owner was lovely as were her gardens.

It was great to meet you and your daughters Molly. I am glad that you had a nice visit with your HSU student and enjoyed Rose Court Cottage. Thanks for your thoughtful review and nice compliments. It is true that the cottage is smaller than the other Stays in the Arcata Stay Network, and has a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen; that is why the nightly rate is less expensive. It is the only accommodation that can come with breakfast, however, and that is pleasing for many guests. Hope to book you again for your next visit to Arcata.

cottage elegance on the coast of Humbolt county
A flower bordered walkway ushered us into the Rose Cottage. Tastefully appointed , the guest house was cozy and comfortable. Christy created a breakfast that more than complimented our vegetarian desires. The furniture was comfortable for my wife and I as was the queen size bed. The cottage has a good selection of reading material and local history. We did not avail ourselves of the tv and dvd player choosing instead to relax quietly . I would recommend this B+B to any couple .

Cozy and sweet
We had a wonderful time at the Rose Court Cottage--the setting is very charming, Christy (the owner) attends to all of your needs and the cottage is within walking distance of all the interesting shops and restaurants in arcata (not to mention the wonderful farmers' market!), We were there for graduation, and felt that we had the best accommodation in arcata.

Great romantic rabbit hole hideaway in the Redwoods
Cozy, comfortable and quaint room with phenominally friendly service. Best pizza at Live From New York and great breakfast at Blue Moon, both just 2 minutes away, close enough to walk. Christy, you made our one day stay a shangri-la experience. we will obviuosly pass the word to all our friends and family. See you next time! D
