Just came back from a 1- week stay at Casa Redonda and would love to go back. I did a lot of research before picking this location as it is about a 25minute golf cart ride from town, however, the drive became part of the adventure and the location outside of town afforded us a unique and very peaceful stay. My group of 7 rented the top part of the villa which when combined with the incredible amount of outdoor space provided plenty of room for everyone to have privacy. Mary from the management company set up our transfers to/from the airport and arranged 2 golf carts to be at the house for us on arrival. She quickly responded to my many questions prior to arrival. She also provided contact info for a woman named Marfa who cooked dinner for us on 2 nights-highly recommend, a nice treat after a couple long days on excursion. The caretaker on site, Victor, was a tremendous help with any last minute needs, but never intrusive. Elaina, the housekeeper, was also lovely and quickly responded to any requests. The house itself and its furnishings are a little older than some of the condos for rent on the island, but the pool and views cannot be beat! Outside there were several shady and sunny spots in and around the pool and terrace which were greatly appreciated in the hot weather. There is a brand new pier which allowed us to be picked up via boat for all of our excursions vs driving into town. The pier is also great for fishing or lounging. We did swim off the end of the pier, but there can be stingrays and there are said to be crocodiles in the mangrove area across the street so you need to be aware of your surroundings. My husband and I had stayed in town on a previous stay several years ago, but really enjoyed having this property in this location for travel with a group.
