This was a great getaway for my hubby and I. Great location just close enough to the beach without being on it. Restaurants just a short drive away. All the imenities of home, and our dog enjoyed the occasional squirrel chase. Thanks Mike , will definitely recommend.

Needed vacation
My trip was simply wonderful. The house in very good condition and larger than expected. Ms Carolyn was most graceful and helpful.I enjoyed meeting her family especially Cody.I only had one small complaint,it took several times to dry a load of clothes got it fixed a day before leaving but not a huge issue. I definitely recommend this rental and I look forward to coming back.

A good value for the price
My wife and I stayed a week in the Crane cottage in May 2017. We took our boat and went to fish and it worked well for us. It is an ideal location to park a boat and just two blocks from a boat ramp. It is only about ten minutes from the beach in a very quite and peaceful residential section. There are a few things to consider while looking at this cottage. Be aware that this is a pet friendly property. If you are a person that is sensitive to pet smells and hair on furniture, this is not the best place for you. If you are a family that travels with your “fur babies” this would likely be perfect for you. Not much in the way of entertainment for children close by as Ocean Isle Beach in mostly condos and residential area. However you are only about twenty minutes from North Myrtle beach that has anything and everything to assist you in spending your vacation money. Several good places to eat within minutes of the cottage. I highly recommend the Castaway grill behind the self-service ice machine on the causeway. Not fancy but excellent food at reasonable prices. We ate here several times and were always pleased. Another positive for the place is that it has a washer and dryer off of the kitchen. Keeps you from having to carry so many towels and such. If the place had some general maintenance done and a more efficient cleaning service ti could easily be rated five stars. As is, it is still a good value for the money.

Thank you for your review. I am grateful that you let me know you found pet hairs. This should not happen. We sent a deep cleaning crew in immediately. We have replaced the air conditioning unity with a new unit.We have put down new linoleum in the back room. We hope we can serve you again. We take your suggestions very seriously and will do all we can to make our cottage crisp and clean so that we continue to receive five star reviews in the future. Fantastic in every way
We love this place. It is very quiet and a great place to stay. The property is well maintained and the folks that clean it do a fantastic job. It is the perfect distance from the water. Both of the docks are very well maintained and only the folks in the neighborhood have access.
The layout of the house is perfect. With one bedroom on one side of the house and the other 2 on the other side make for a very nice stay. The screened in porch is our favorite part of the house. With a cool breeze off the water and the birds playing in the trees, there is no more peaceful place to be.
The owner is very nice and is very concerned about your stay and the lady that handles the keys and the cleaning is fantastic to work with.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pans, dishes and utensils. We had everything we needed and then some.
We have been several years in a row, we love it so much.
