We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa Mirage in Half Moon Bay very much! The location was secure and peaceful, the staff was great, and the condo was clean and well appointed. We will return. The condo complex is small and great restaurants are nearby. David, the owner, was responsive and fantastic. Thank you!

MOBILIARIO POBRE Y NO ESTA REALMENTE EN AKUMAL
La informacion proporcionada en trip advisor no distingue de la bahía de la media luna que es donde se ubica el departamento, contiguo a la verdadera playa de Akumal. El atractivo de Akumal ,que no tiene la bahía del departamento es el hábitat de tortugas y mantarrayas interesante para snorkel. Por otro lado, nos tocó temporada de zargazo que dificulta el uso de la playa y los condominios adyacentes sí la limpiaron de sus playas y el de Mirage lo hacían lentamente y con poco personal, tanto así que solo el séptimo día de los 8 que estuvimos quedó limpio. Los muebles son sumamente pobres, las camas no tienen siquiera cabeceras, las lamparas y los burós son de cuarta clase. Solo la cocina tiene equipo aceptable. El servicio del administrador, limpieza y toallas aceptable también. Pero después de las 3 de la tarde el edificio ya no tiene administrador, y las camareras se retiran a esa hora también, lo que se requiere hay que esperar al dia siguiente para solicitarlo. Lo recibido no esta de acuerd a lo pagado

Thanks for your comments. It is regrettable that your expectations were not met. However, the description on this website clearly states that we overlook Half-Moon Bay which is renowned for its snorkeling and sea life. The problem of excess sargasso weed is happening throughout the Caribbean and our staff endeavours to keep the beach as clean as possible. Furnishings are clearly shown in the photos. Our staff are available until 5pm local time, and the client services manager lives on site.

Wonderful vacation rental
This was our first time in Akumal and we're pretty much winging it with this reservation, and we were not disappointed. I don't really know how you could not love this amazing spot. The view is break-taking right from the balcony and the beach in front of the condo was quite and peaceful. You could jump right into the water in front of the condo and go snorkeling, even if you are a beginner. My husband saw a turtle and a ray and of course tons of fish. There is a large reef within swimming distance. The condo itself has everything you need. The wireless worked great plus we were able to cook breakfast right at the condo every morning and make coffee. Really convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

In a nutshell, perfect!
We loved staying at La Mirage. It was quiet, welcoming, safe, well maintained and immaculate. Staff was helpful and accommodating, and owner was very responsive and patient with my questions. Booking was a breeze and everything was just as we agreed to--no surprises. The location was great, and we took full advantage of snorkeling right at our doorstep. Great eateries next door and within a short walk. The place had lots of lovely Mexican charm. Very relaxing. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Condo on beach with amazing view and access to the beach - paradise!
This is the third time we have stayed at Condo Mariposa and would strongly recommend it to families of all ages. Or children enjoyed it as much as teenagers as they did when they were younger - with the beach on the doorstep what more can you want? Forget the luxury resorts, you can't get better than the view from this balcony. Very spacious and great value with restaurants within easy walking distance. It is one of our favourite places in the world, we only wish we could get there more often.
