Myself and my friends had a very pleasant stay at Orchard Cottage. The property was very clean and the panoramic views were stunning. However, I would like to make a few suggestions, especially when staying at this property during hot weather conditions. There were no fans provided which would have been very useful in the bedrooms. Due to the property being opposite a reservoir we had a huge amount of bugs including mosquitoes enter the property when opening windows/doors. Insect nets would have also been beneficial. We felt the outdoor seating was very worn. The terrace in which the lounge opens onto was full of wasps so we were unable to open the doors. The hot tub was brilliant, however it locked everytime we turned it on or wanted to change a setting. I was advised to unplug the hot tub and plug it in again everytime. This was a bit frustrating and we spent a lot of time doing this every night. I would deifnitely stay at Orchard Cottage again during cooler months, but I think further considerations are needed at the property for when the weather is hot. Due to being in a rural location and opposite a reservoir, bugs and insects are very much expected but this did affect our stay and caused some sleepless nights.
