In December of 2015 my parents and my girlfriend and I stayed in the Birders Paradise for a week over Christmas.
First, San Pancho itself is a wonderful place to stay. The entire town appears to embrace all visitors. We felt welcome and safe the entire time. The beach is beautiful and was not overcrowded. There are many restaurants available ranging from upscale to street vendors including Mexican, Italian, and French cuisine. There is some shopping available in San Pancho, but much more in Sayulita which is a very short drive or cab ride if you are looking for a bit more shopping or entertainment.
The house itself has a wonderful open feel and has separate areas for cooking, dining and lounging (upstairs) and sleeping (downstairs). There were 4 in our group and we were extremely comfortable in the house. The covered porch area on the main floor has a wonderful feel, allowing you to enjoy nature while reading, playing cards or just relaxing. The downtown area and beach is a very quick 10 minute walk along the main street, where many of the restaurants and shops in town are located. The house is close to markets where you can easily get whatever necessities you may need.
We enjoyed our time in this location and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic, enjoyable, and relaxing vacation.
