And welcome to my vacation home...... Stepping through the front door and down a small hall you enter the open and spacious living area. The condo is beautifully decorated in a tropical style. It is a very warm and inviting space to relax in, then your eyes are drawn across the room to the glass doors and lanai beyond. As you step out onto the lanai the panorama opens to you.....down the slopes of Mauna Loa and out over the blue Pacific. You will be spending time out here! Coffee, meals, conversations, sunsets or just quietly contemplating. To the right is the bedroom. A California king bed awaits you for the end of the day. Plenty of space in the large dresser and closet for your things and a flat screen tv, hidden in the cabinet. Unlike many units, 601 has the bedroom on the makai (ocean) side of the building. Through a another set of glass doors is a second lanai. This lanai is open to the sky and has lounge chairs to relax in. Work on your tan during the day, look up into the starry sky at night. At the other side of the living room is the kitchen and dining area. Well equipped for those who like to cook. There are all the necessary conveniences: full size appliances, quality kitchen wares, electric water kettle and of course a coffee maker and grinder......Hey, you are in Kona, world renowned for its coffee! Another thing to add to your comfort, central air conditioning. Usually the cooling ocean breezes are enough, but the air conditioning is there when needed. My unit is located at the end of the south wing, one floor up from the lobby entrance and 2 floors above the underground parking. Both stairs and elevators allow easy access. The Royal Sea Cliff is a well designed and maintained complex. The concrete structure is very strong and the solid walls and ceilings are soundproof. This is a wonderful location offering great privacy, ease of access and some of the best sunset views in the complex. The Royal Sea Cliff offers other amenities not found at many of the areas vacation rentals: Free underground secured parking, six elevators provide easy access to all floors and parking areas, bell carts to carry your belongings to your vacation home. Also in the front lobby is complimentry Kona coffee, a computer and printer for your use and an ice machine to fill your cooler before heading to the beach. You can also for hula or ukulele lessons there! If you want to get a few sets in, there are tennis courts right outside. There are 2 ocean front pools for you to use. On the south side is a large heated pool and grass lawn for families to enjoy, a cabana with restrooms and heated showers and the outdoor dining area with gas bbq grills. This is also where the resort offers weekll cultural activities for its guests: Monday Sunset by the Sea, Tuesday Aloha Party and Friday Mahalo Party. On the other side of the complex is a smaller "quiet" pool with a spa. Mainly for adults seeking a quiet refuge, electronics are not allowed.....books are very welcome. It also has a cabana with restrooms and a small bbq/dining area as well. My condo, #601 is one of the few with its layout. The 2 lanais, the bedroom on the ocean side and its location in the resort makes it one of the most desirable 1 bedroom units in the complex. Add to that the beautiful interior and thoughtfulness of the accommodations for a wonderful stay. Two last things.....1) I am the owner of this condo.
