Interacción con los huéspedes: You can reach me through email or WhatsApp any time and you will have contact with our house manager Dioney when you are in Costa Rica. He will greet you personally when you arrive and explain the workings of the house as well offer you activities in the area.
We loved staying at this amazing house near the beach. Beautiful view, full kitchen, air conditioner and plenty of room to relax! We even had a masseuse come to the house for a nice massage. Within walking distance to the beach. The owner arranged for us to have a personal chef to cook our fresh caught fish, as well as a private driver which was much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Perfection
I have seen a lot of sunrises but this private tropical getaway provided the perfect and best sun rises I have ever seen. The private beach is close enough to walk to so you can enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. We had access to the private resort that is just steps from this home. I cant wait to go back!!

Amazing rental
This was a girls trip to Costa Rica that was amazing from start to finish! Susan took great care when helping us schedule the trip, and arranging for Dioney to help us with our adventures. Highly recommend the river tour and the ATVs. We went to the white sand beach. Spent time on the beach in front of the house-and had it all to ourself! The resort pool was nice, with the restaurant and bar by the pool serving delicious food. I also recommend having massage on the patio and asking Mariana the housekeeper to make a meal for you. Delicious! From the minute we landed until the minute we took off everything was amazing.

Nice location, not luxury
6 of us stayed here over the 2019/2020 New Year. House is large and location is nice but it was in need of significant repairs. We had only one working shower and only the fridge on the second floor was functioning. Fridge in the kitchen didn't work at all. Stove only had 2.5 working burners. We are all fairly young, but be warned the stairs to the bottom level are very steep and slightly dangerous. Second level rooms have no privacy as the ceiling is open so everything can hears between rooms. Walk to the beach may only be a couple hundred steps but this is not a beach front home. It's a good walk to get there - and to get back since it's basically straight uphill. It does have great views of the ocean from the decks. Its great that it's near a resort as well, as we were able to eat and swim there. Bugs are a thing; it's in the jungle so it's to be expected. Just be prepared, pretty large spiders around but also some great iguanas and birds too!
Dioney and Mariana were the stars. Absolutely take advantage and hire Dioney for the week - he is AMAZING. Marianas cooking is awesome, get some lobster; she does magical things.

Thank you for taking the time to to review our home, it’s unfortunate that we were not made aware of the broken faucet and refrigerator until after you left, they were of course replaced immediately. Yes having a house in the jungle does include the natural wildlife and insects and Mariana is great at keeping up on those. Glad you enjoyed her cooking she appreciates doing that for people. Not sure why you were expecting a “Luxury” experience as we are a beachouse near the ocean in the jungle in Costa Rica. But sounds like you did have a typical Costa Rican vacation. Simply Fantastic
We went in The summer of 2016 and I still consider it to be one of our best trips ever! The house was very comfortable and well maintained. The service from the guide was amazing. Not to mention the hospitality of the people of Costa Rica!

Anniversary celebration

Beautiful home in a wonderful area!
Our family just spent a week at the ‘Shortsnflipflops’ vacation home in Costa Rica and we all really enjoyed our time there. The home is in a rural area that really allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful sound of the ocean waves. The home is beautiful with appropriate furniture and appliances and cooking tools that you would expect to be provided. The outdoor space provided plenty of area to have our meals and coffee, cocktails, etc. while watching the ocean waves and the sun actually sets off the back of the home so that space is perfect for viewing sunsets! The rural setting did force us to do some planning for food and dinning trips and navigating the roads took some patience but it was worth the extra effort. The fruit & vegetable stands were great and we loved the coconut drinks cut fresh from the coconuts by the attendants. Yum, they were great!! Overall, we enjoyed our relaxing vacation and will plan to return.

Perfect in every way!!
For us, going to Costa Rica was a trip of a lifetime. Susan, is a wealth of knowledge as to websites, directions, places to go and see, things to do, etc. The Condo is perfect in every way, and full of Costa Rican authenic culture and customs, with all the decor, dishware, artwork, beds, and local wood for headboards, etc. Whether you are going to relax at condo with beautiful balconies, and beach, or go on many local day trips to see the butterfly farms, local pottery farms, volcanos or just day drives to see how local Costa Ricans live. We just loved this trip and would recommend to any of our friends and family. Thank you Rick and Susan.

Costa Rican paradise!
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house immensely. House was clean and had all the necessities. We were only a group of four, which allowed us to have our own sleeping spaces but the house could easily sleep the 8 but be aware that the sofa bed/sunroom is between the two downstairs bedrooms and you’d have to go through one of the bedrooms to exit or access a bathroom, so would probably work best for kids. Kitchen was stocked with glasses, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and stove/oven plus two refrigerators for large groups. Rick and Susan hooked us up with Dioney who helps manage the property guests. We hired him for the week to act as our tour guide and driver and it was well worth the money. He picked us up, helped us navigate the grocery store and drove us to the property. I don’t know that I would have been adventurous enough to navigate the dirt road out there, especially at the tail end of the rainy season. If you do drive, I’d recommend a suv type vehicle. We woke up every day to the sounds of the ocean waves and chirping birds. The beach is a very short walk down the trail right out front. There is a nice view of the ocean from the decks and the property around the house is well maintained. You area in the middle of the Playa Azul resort but it was pretty empty and quiet when we were there.
We also took advantage of hiring the housekeeper, Mariana to make us a couple of meals. We provided the food and she worked her magic. Her chicken was delicious, using simple limes, onions, peppers, garlic and spices. We also went more than once to the Tiki Hut which is a short drive away to enjoy dinner, lunch and cocktails. We enjoyed waterfall hikes, a trip to Tamarindo for lunch and shopping, thermal mud baths, turtle hatching, ATVing, Diamanté eco reserve and zip lining as well as just some quiet days spent on the veranda of the house.
The house was kept clean while we were there and necessities stocked, bath towels washed, house swept. The outdoor shower is a true luxury that we all enjoyed. We would go back in a heartbeat and will recommend this property to our friends.

Beautifully decorated, peacefully located, and culturally inspiring.
My girlfriends and I had an amazing time at this lovely Costa Rican home. The house had everything we could've wanted or needed. We had a short walk to the beach, and access to the hotel/restaurant that was right behind the house. The people were super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you are looking to getaway for a week or two, this would be a great spot. It's quiet, and peaceful, but if you want to engage in tourist attractions or experience the nightlife, you don't have to go far! Pura Vida!
